have i angered the vegan gods ?
so it’s Teo’s first day and nobody is around to have lunch with him. Nev and i, humanitarians as we are, decided to take him out for a quick bite. we’re the most entertaining in the office anyway. haha
but seriously… we’ve established i am vegetarian by now. i really wanted a salad. but a sandwich on the menu changed my mind: hummus, roasted red peppers, onions, cucumbers and lettuce on ciabatta bread. so i ordered it (minus the onions of course) with a side of fruit. yum-E !
i was excited about the image of this new taste sensation until reality made its way to our table. i wasn’t totally impressed with the bread. the fruit didn’t look… fresh… but i took a few bites of the sandwich anyway and decided it wasn’t totally horrible until i bit into a piece of… pepperoni. honestly, i oppose discrimination of all sorts, but shouldn’t veggies and meat live on opposite sides of the prep counter ?
am i being punished by the vegan gods ??
First of all, what’s up with Teo? His name is a little too close to mine!
Secondly, you are either jinxed or somebody at that restaurant (was it the same one?) has it in for you
You’re an experienced waitress now; you should tell them to get their act together and show them how it’s supposed to be done!
