dude, where’s my car ?
my morning seemed bizarre from the moment i opened my eyes yesterday. i was scheduled for a doctor’s appointment so i got to sleep more than usual and Jose’s back was still out so he was heavily medicated and very much passed out. i went through my usual morning routine, grabbed my gym bag, computer bag, lunch bag, purse, water bottle, keys and then there i stood on an empty parking spot. was i dreaming ? one 360 degree turn. two 360 degree turn. still no sign of my car. i went back inside and said to Jose “my car’s gone.” heavily medicated and all, he got up and walked outside to see for himself. yup. gone. stolen.
it was like deja vu… police report, insurance claim, etc… the rest of the day was just as bizarre, but what can i say ? i’m still alive and i hope my insurance company doesn’t drop me.
i kept thinking of that cheesy ‘bad day’ song. yes, you know the one:
Cause you had a bad day, you’re taking one down
You sing a sad song just to turn it around
You say you don’t know, you tell me don’t lie
You work on a smile and you go for a ride
unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate, so i went to a spin class instead.
OMG – how horrible! That sucks!
Holy crap that sucks.
oh this is just awful. i am so sorry to hear this. i hope that everything works out. try to stay positive.

the horror! and emotional distress! oh my god.. i am truly sorry this could and would ever happen to anyone.. karma dude.. neg. karma points for those responsiable.. boo hiss..
WHAT??? That is CRAZY! This dark cloud hovering over your life needs to go away. I’m so sorry that this happened to you… What a year! That’s great that you went to spinning class, though. I find I can hammer out anger on a stationary bike even better than on a real one (it’s safer, too).
Are you just having a bad year or something? First you’re having problems with your running due to your legs, then you get in an accident losing your bike, now your car is stolen! I feel for you. I HATE when people steal. It is so low. Well, maybe you’ll get a better car now (unless this last one was good, then ouch!).
Oh no! I’m sorry about your car andI hope it’s found soon.
Wow… Good luck getting that all sorted out. Hope you get your car back.
thanks everyone ! at this point i hope they DON’T find it. i don’t know who’s been in it or what they’ve done to it. it’s only a car after all. i just wish i could delegate dealing with the insurance company to someone else. it would have to be someone i don’t really like, of course !
I’m sorry but, LOL at the title “Dude where’s my car”.. Poor Liz… I’m so sorry about your car though, really
Again, you bounced back from this. You are so amazing, Liz… I’m backtracking on your blog, as you may have noticed, to kind of catch up on your world. I’ve been concerned, but i can see there’s been no reason… I’ve had my car stolen, too… years ago but it’s stayed with me to this day! It’s a creepy feeling for sure!
