Ginger Sesame Noodles, originally uploaded by speedvegan.

I was torn between pasta and yet another stir fry. So I made noodles. Yum…

1 head broccoli, in florets
8 oz buckwheat noodles
1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp ginger, minced
8 oz seitan, in strips
sesame seeds, for garnish

Sauce:
2 tbsp tahihi
2 tbsp tamari
1 tbsp agave nectar
1 tsp chili oil
1 tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp brown rice vinegar
2 tbsp water

1. To make sauce, combine tahini, tamari, agave nectar, chili oil, vegan Worcestershire sauce, brown rice vinegar and water. Set aside.

2. Steam broccoli for about 5 minutes or until tender. Set aside.

3. Cook noodles according to package directions. Set aside.

4. In large pan, saute garlic and ginger in sesame oil over medium-high heat.

5. Add seitan and cook for 3-4 minutes. Turn heat off and stir in sauce, noodles and broccoli. Serve immediately. Garnish with sesame seeds.

I think the vegan Worcestershire sauce is the key ingredient. I totally forgot to use lime juice this time, but will definitely try it next time.

Hi! Great food pic as always…looks yummers! Nate’s Savory Mushroom “meat”balls are pretty good…I don’t think they taste too much like mushrooms though. They have two other flavors of “meat”balls, too, Italian and original. Have a great day!

That looks great. We just made a ginger sesame noodle dish recently that was really good (I’d never had a dish like this before), so I might just try yours. :) :)

It’s so nice to be getting comments from you again…missed you…of course I have been lagging on commenting on yours lately, too! Sorry! Anyhow, thanks for the feedback on the pineapple muffins or cupcakes or what ever you want to call them. They had a frosting but I didn’t make it…I like ‘em without it and because they were overly moist…I’m glad I didn’t fiddle with it. :)

I hope your weekend is a great one! See you soon!
