Dinner for one
Breaking up sucks. Regardless of the length or intensity of the relationship, hearts will be broken and tears will be shed.
You may have noticed Jose and I are no longer together. I’ve wanted to write about it but haven’t found the right words because despite all the things I’ve experienced this year, this one is perhaps the most difficult. I know everything happens for a reason and typically people go their separate ways for “the best” but that doesn’t take away from the ugliness of the situation.
This is by no means a desperate plea for free shrinkage.
I just wanted y’all to know my recipe posts may dwindle (even more so) because I just plain hate cooking for myself. That may change when I eventually come out of my funk. But, until then, please bear with me.

I don’t know how much support I can lend being a simple blog fan, but
Cook for me; just bring it in some tupperware to the office
It’s a win win!
Hey Liz,
I’m sorry to read about the breakup — I know it’s a hard change to adjust to; it affects so many parts of your life–even cooking! Like Jess said, I know I’m just a “blog friend,” but I’m sending good thoughts your way, and hope that you can spend lots of time with friends and family.

Jess and Jen: thanks so much for your support ! J. and i lived together for less than a year, but we’ve been good friends since high school and will hopefully stay close. it still sucks but we have to make the best of it. at least we don’t hate each other ! thanks again !
liz-
i hope that you are feeling better. like the other girls said, i know we don’t know each other in person, but my thoughts are with you.
hopefully your recovery will speed up and you will be able to cycle more. i know that is something you love to do and it’s a healthy way to deal with bad feelings. and if that doesn’t work, make some wonderful vegan treats!
smile — the sun will rise tomorrow.
jessica
so… do you comment your code?
i’m sorry about your breakup.
I’m thinking good thoughts for you.
Jessica: thank you so much for the good thoughts. i really appreciate them. i do hope to feel 100% again soon and i am going to try to make more vegan treats. this morning i made a banana-nut-rum-cake/bread thing that was pretty darn tasty. i’ll post it after i’ve worked on the recipe a bit. thanks again !!
Ian: clever
VeganCyclist: thanks !! i hope your recovery is going well.
*HUGS*
Looks like you’re back on the *love* bandwagon now, girl. I’m proud of your resiliency!!!
