certified

i am now officially certified to teach Spinning ! i successfully completed the new instructor orientation yesterday. this is something i’ve wanted to do for a long, long time. over the years, i’ve met many different Spinning/indoor cycling instructors. some have inspired me, others not so much. after having completed the course, i wonder… what kind of instructor will i be ? i have the right attitude, drive and motivation, but the thought of 30 people staring at me scares me half to death. i’m sure that i will conquer my fear but it’ll take a lot of intimidating stares. yikes !

i couldn’t have gone through this certification without the inspiration and support of certain people in my life. i know it sounds a bit over-dramatic, but thanks to them (you know who you are), i was able to achieve one of my dreams. thank you !! and thanks to Laura, Jason, Adrian and Sonya for celebrating with me at Sublime last night !

i’m trying to increase my running times by small fractions. i really don’t want to hurt myself this time. pretty responsible of me, huh Ted ? ;-) i got a sharp piercing pain 4 minutes into Friday’s run. i stopped, stretched and walked for a bit. i played around with my form a bit when i started running again until i felt comfortable. the rest of the run was fine.

Geoff and i went to a fetish party this weekend. i had never been to one and didn’t quite know what to expect. it was all good though. we had a wonderful time ! the music was great and i was thrilled to see all sorts of interesting people.
