Yeah, “somehow”, I guess we’ll never know ;-P
Ted, Ted, Ted
Hi Liz,
Heather from ARFF said that you were looking for a vegan to ride with now and then. I used to ride regularly, but for the past couple of years I’ve backed off because of the traffic. I’ve had a couple of accidents – one mountain biking (my skills didn’t match the terrain) and the other on the road (caught in a group that went down) – and found that I’m too old to be doing a lot of high risk riding. But, I thought I’d check with you to see if you’ve got any options for a good light traffic ride and would like some company. Or, if you’re interested, you can join me for my low risk ride which I do every couple of months. I go up the Lake O. and ride on the levee. It’s a nice paved path and one can get in a 30 or 40 mile ride with zero traffic. BTW, I’m not all that fast – I have to work hard to end up with a 17 MPH average – so if you do want to ride with me you might want to pick one of your recovery days.
BTW, I used to ride with a club up in Chicago, and in 2 years I got about a half dozen guys to go either totally or mostly vegetarian. I guess they were impressed that an old fart could sort of keep up with them.
Cheers, Jim
You go, Liz! Keep up the incredible work. You’re such an inspiration, moreso every week…
