my weekend was hectic, although not athletically so. the weather was (is) still crappy. drought my ass. where’s all this friggin’ rain going ?
friday – rest
saturday – rest
sunday – rest
monday – 1.5 hour beach bootcamp class
tuesday – 40 min run, 800 meter swim, strength training: lower body
wednesday – 55 min spin class
thursday – 30 min run, strength training: upper body, abs

Do you find it difficult to train all 3 disciplines evenly when you incorporate core strength training? I’ve been finding lately that I’ll either have a run heavy week, bike heavy week, or swim heavy week.
Ian: i do find it hard. looking back over last year’s logs, i barely got any strength training in though it’s really important. that is why i’m so excited about the beach bootcamp class. it’s a lot of resistance (core) work so i can get by with two (or even one) additional strength training session(s) later in the week.
