Vegan “meatballs” (I use Nate’s Savory Mushroom kind)
Marinara Sauce (I use Whole Foods brand organic mushroom)
Crushed chili flakes (completely optional, of course)
Sub buns
Place “meatballs” and marinara sauce in a medium saucepan and simmer for about 10 minutes. Add chili flakes if using. Place about 4 “meatballs” in each sub with a bit of sauce. Toast in the oven for a few minutes and voila, you’re done ! That’s all there is to it ! Like Geoff said, it’s a really tasty meal considering the amount of work that goes into preparing it is negligible.
I’m vegan. I don’t eat or use animal products. I am also a wanna-be athlete. This blog contains a collection of the things I eat as well as my training regimen and occasional race report.
Please elaborate on what’s in the subs, they look fantastic!
